EDUCATIONAL METHODS

Findhorn College uses a wide diversity of educational methods which seek to engage the whole person in learning, and to respect and work with the different learning styles and intelligences present in any group. Apart from formal instruction, these methods may include learning contracts; self and peer assessment; drawing out the wisdom of the learning community; exploration of core beliefs, values and perceptions; and activities such as drawing, dance, group games, brain gym, outings into nature and meditation; and far more.

Study Time We invite you to taste the richness of this approach in our introductory course Experiencing Holistic Learning

For a brief introduction to some key ideas and methods, we recommend Alistair Smith’s book "Accelerated Learning in the Classroom" (Network Educational Press, Stafford, 1996).
