Craig Gibsone - Community Elder and Ecovillage Education Coordinator

Craig is a highly experienced and respected Elder of the Findhorn Foundation. Having lived in the Findhorn Community for 46 years, Craig has and continues to be an integral part of the development of the community and the ecovillage concept. Previously Chair of Management for the Findhorn Foundation and Trustee he is the Founding Director of the pioneering Applied Ecovillage Living course held at the Findhorn Foundation for the last 15 years. Bridging spirituality, shamanism and permaculture, Craig brings a life-time of practical experience of how to build ecovillages both in terms of the physical and social infrastructure necessary for success.
Gabrielle Haworth Buist - Ecovillage Education Coordinator, BSc Sociology with Environmental Studies (First Class Honours), University of Surrey.
Gabrielle was born and raised in the Findhorn Community and is able to offer great insight into ecovillage life. A committed environmental campaigner, Garbrielle has previously coordinated People & Planet, an organisation campaigning for better environmental standards and accountability and worked as Partnership Manager for OneWorld UK (an international environmental awareness-raising charity based in London).
Returning to the Findhorn Ecovillage in 2007 she worked to develop and coordinate the month-long Applied Ecovillage Living programme with Craig Gibsone. She has also worked with the Ecovillage Design Education Training of Trainers, the Youth Project and various sustainability projects in the local area. Recently, Gabrielle has been working to empower and inspire local disadvantaged young people through designing and delivering the Youth Empowerment Programme. Gabrielle has seven years experience of designing and delivering Permaculture and using nature based education to re-skill young people and adults alike.
Gabrielle is studying for her Applied Permaculture Diploma.
